Established in 2011, soundinitiative is an ensemble made up of nine musicians dedicated to the creation of concerts designed to set the performance space into resonance through the sounds and movements of the performers. The group performs brand new music, all the while inspired by theatre, dance, visual and performance art, and artforms that delineate the space between composer and performer.

For each performance soundinitiative creates a unique artistic form, designed to invite the audience to discover the hidden sides of their perception through a multitude of different sonic experiences. Each audience member can create their own pathway through these new sounds, accompanied by the musicians of the ensemble.

Internationally ensemble soundinitiative has performed across Europe, North-America, Australia and Asia, with invitations to perform in the UK (Café Oto), Norway (Borealis & Only Connect Festivals) Denmark (Klang Festival), Austria (Bludenzneuemusik Tage), Montreal (Chappelle Historique du Bon Pasteur & KRMT), Spain (Sirga Festival), Singapore (YST), Australia (BIFEM & Brisbane Festival), Germany (BKA Theater), Italy (Milano Musica in Prossimità), New Zealand (NZSM), the United States (Chashama, Spectrum) and Belgium (Ars Musica & QO2).

Notable production and performance partners in France include La Muse en Circuit, les Rendez-Vous Contemporains de Saint Merry, the concert series Infuse, La Maison Rouge, Marathon Festival and the Gaité Lyrique, IRCAM and the Manifeste Festival, Césaré in Reims, and GRAME in Lyon.
